Charles P. Wohlforth (born May 24, 1963) is an Alaskan author 〔(Old Ways of Life Are Fading as the Arctic Thaws )〕 and writer. Wohlforth's books include ''The Whale and the Supercomputer: On the Northern Front of Climate Change'', which won a Los Angeles Times Book Prize, in the Science and Technology category, in 2004.〔(2004 Los Angeles Times Book Prize Winners )〕 Wohlforth has also authored a number of travel guides, including several editions of the annual ''Frommer's Alaska''.
